Senior Officer - Accounting Department

Responsibilities:

  • Assist for the monthly, quarterly and year-end closing  (ie. prepare the journals, reconciliation, monthly management report and Group Reporting)
  • Assist with annual audit and tax filing
  • Provide support for IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 implementation projects
  • Participate in the work related to the implementation of RBC
  • Responsible for quarterly and annual statutory filings with regulators
  • Participate in ad hoc project / other financial works as assigned by the Superior

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance with professional qualification
  • Minimum 4 years experience in financial accounting field/insurance or experience in Big 4 or in insurance auditing is highly preferred
  • Attention to detail and able to work under pressure
  • Well-organized and systematic
  • Proficiency in PC skills including Excel, Access, SunAccounts is preferred
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with good written & spoken English and Cantonese
  • Committed and able to meet deadlines
