Head of Pharmacy

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Pharmacy & Procurement team to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers or other industry partners.
  • Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing, purchasing, pricing negotiations, and supplier performance management.
  • Ensure timely availability of pharmaceutical products, medications, supplements, and medical consumables.
  • Monitor and optimize inventory levels to minimize stock shortages, overstock, and product expiry.
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and clinical teams on medication planning, purchasing, and utilization.
  • Analyze sales trends and product performance to maximize revenue and profitability.
  • Identify new products, strategic partnerships, and business opportunities to support company growth.
  • Establish procurement policies and inventory control procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, reports, and management recommendations.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or a related discipline.
  • Registered Pharmacist with a valid Practising Certificate in Hong Kong.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, with proven leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong experience in pharmaceutical procurement, inventory management, and supplier/vendor management.
  • Established relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers and distributors are highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in sales analysis and business development.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Mandarin.
