Assistant General Manager stationed in Vietnam

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Required to station in Vietnam and provide day-to-day assistance and support to the General Manager of our Vietnam factory, on carrying out the following duties:-  

• Manage the production of our candle factory in Vietnam (Thanh Nam Ward, Ninh Binh Province, about 100 km south of capital Ha Noi).  The factory is with about 1,200 to 1,600 workers.

• Oversee and in charge of production including engineering and operation

• Handle and resolve day-to-day production problems, including the engineering parts.

• Ensure deliverables are accomplished within target timeframes with high quality.

• Monitor all order planning, administration, production and logistic.

• Assess the efficiency of current production methodologies and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

• Provide overall leadership and directions regarding the development of strategic objectives, manpower plan, cost accounting and cost control.

• Initiate annual production plan that establishes goals, objectives, strategies and budget requirements for the company’s continuous growth.

• Develop training and educational programs for production staff. 

Requirements:

• High Diploma or above in factory production related discipline.

• About 10 years’ experience in managing factory production

• Strong knowledge of engineering of production machines

• Strong strategic and analytic thinking on production improvement.

• Strong organizing ability and management skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, well-organized with strong project management, self-motivated, good quality and working attitude, detailed minded, cost conscientious and able to work under pressure.

• Good command of written and spoken English, Putonghua, and Cantonese, knowing Vietnamese is an advantage.

• Knowledge about candle production is an advantage.

• Hand-on experience in business operations of WOFE (Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise) in Vietnam is also an advantage.

• If having In-depth knowledge on IBM AS/400 System, able to master and operate the entire system, including ability to make modifications to enhance the system component/program operations, is also an advantage.
