The Department of Financial and Business Economics of the Faculty of Business Administration invites applications for the position of Full Professor in the area of Financial Technology.

According to the current plan, a Faculty of Information Science and Computing will be established at the new campus, comprising a Department of Financial Technology and Business Intelligence. The department will offer undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes.

Qualifications

Applicants should (1) should have a well-established track record of research excellence substantiated by publication in highly ranked journals, and a strong commitment to mentoring junior researchers, with a doctoral degree in Finance, Information Management, or a closely related field; (2) have the ability to teach undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses in financial technology. Candidates with administrative experience will be considered for headship of the department.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty by August 2026.

Remuneration

The remuneration will be competitive and commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
