Job duties:

• Follow the work assignment from the Laboratory Director
• Perform routine sample processing: receive, label, prepare samples for testing and storage
• Waste disposal: Safely handle, label, and dispose of hazardous biological and chemical waste
• Perform clerical duties including document filing, data processing, compiling statistics, entering data and patient details into the information system, and processing inward and outward mail
• Monitor the reagent usage and update the inventory system
• Handle specimens in proper order for dispatch. Arrange porters to pick up or deliver reports or samples to clinics, centres, or referral centres as needed
• Handle phone inquiries and communicate with other clinics and departments.
• Uploading laboratory reports
• Provide feedback on work difficulties or deficiencies to the Laboratory Director
• Protect patient information and confidentiality

Qualification Requirement:

• Hold a minimum of 2 passes in HKALE and five passes in HKCEE examinations, including Chinese Language, English Language, and Mathematics
• Previous lab experience is preferred
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
• Able to run MS Word, EXCEL, and input Chinese
