Vocational Training Council (VTC), established in 1982, has always been at the forefront of vocational and professional education and training (VPET). As a statutory body, we exist within Hong Kong education system to ensure the skills of the Hong Kong workforce remain fresh and future ready. Our mandate to provide VPET is vital in meeting industry needs, and in fulfilling the aspirations of the quarter of a million young people and in-service workers who attend a programme every year at one of our 13 member institutions. Part-time Instructor

Vocational Training for People with Disabilities Office

Major Duties:
(a)  To provide job coaching support in the following areas:
      (i)  Community Service Sector
      (ii)  Catering Sector
(b)  To perform teaching, job coaching and assessment duties at trainees’ and graduates’ workplace;
(c)  To collaborate with public organisations, the business sector and social enterprises in internship-related matters;
(d)  To perform training-related administration such as updating the student admission program information and statistical records for job placement;
(e)  To monitor the operation of training venues, including routine maintenance of equipment or facilities, procurement and store inventory; and
(f)  To handle matters in relation to the publicity and administration of job coaching service.
(a)  A recognised higher diploma in relevant discipline;
(b)  At least 3 years’ relevant work experience in the relevant industry;
(c)  Proficiency in English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua;
(d)  Good communication and interpersonal skills;
(e)  Proactive, self-motivated and willing to learn; and
(f)  Pass a trade test.
(1)  Candidates without the required academic qualification stated in the Requirement (a) but possessing 8 years’ work or teaching experience in the relevant industry may also apply.  Where applicable, these candidates may be required to have a Qualifications Framework (QF) Level 3 qualification.
(2)  The appointees may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and/or outside centres.
(3)  In support of the Sexual Conviction Record Check (SCRC) Scheme launched by the Hong Kong Police Force, all prospective appointees of Shine Skills Centres will be requested to undergo the SCRC at the advanced stage of the employment process.
