Major Duties:
(a) To assist in workshops / laboratories equipment installation / maintenance, and training session preparation;
(b) To assist the lecturers during laboratory / practical classes;
(c) To assist in trouble shooting, acquisition and installation of all equipment, hardware and software;
(d) To assist in the implementation of safety measures in laboratories and maintaining the tidiness of the workshops / laboratories;
(e) To assist in the procurement and inventory control of relevant stores and equipment; and
(f) To provide technical support for teaching activities, as well as special projects, events and exhibitions.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised diploma or higher certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or other relevant disciplines;
(b) At least 2 years of relevant experience in Aircraft Maintenance / Marine Engineering or related fields;
(c) Basic knowledge of IT equipment (Windows PC), audio-visual (AV) trouble-shooting skills, and proficiency in MS Office are preferred;
(d) Good communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese; and
(e) Candidates with hands-on experience and/or knowledge in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:
(i) Aircraft Maintenance;
(ii) Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) techniques;
(iii) Painting and Coating skills for aircraft;
(iv) Composite Material repair for aircraft components;
(v) Sheet Metal repair for aircraft components;
(vi) Marine Engine Maintenance; and
(vii) IT equipment (Windows PC) setup and maintenance.
Notes:
(1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a trade test.
(3) The work location is in IVE (Tsing Yi).
(4) Candidates should specify their relevant skills and knowledge of equipment, software and related work experience in their curriculum vitae (CV) and list the machines and equipment they can operate, along with the corresponding skills, in the “(VI) Other Information” of the application form.
