Youth College (Kwai Chung)

Major Duties:
(a) To provide support in one or more of the following areas:
(i) general administration and personnel;
(ii) student affairs and student admissions;
(iii) book-keeping, supplies and stores administration;
(iv) promotion & publicity and committee work; and
(v) secretarial and administrative support for senior level staff;
(b) To assist in providing secretarial support for meetings / boards of operational units;
(c) To draft simple correspondence; and
(d) To handle enquiries and provide counter services.
Requirements:
(a) (i) Level 2 or above in 5 subjects, including English Language*, Chinese Language and Mathematics, in the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education (HKDSE) Examination, or equivalent^; OR
(ii) Level 2 / Grade E or above in 5 subjects including English Language (Syllabus B)*, Chinese Language and Mathematics in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE); OR
(iii) Diploma of Applied Education + Maths Plus / Diploma Yi Jin + Mathematics / Project Yi Jin; OR
(iv) A recognised Certificate / Diploma / Foundation Diploma / Foundation Certificate / Diploma of Foundation Studies; OR
(v) A recognised Associate Degree / Higher Diploma or above.
* Completion of Hong Kong Vocational English Programme (HKVEP) at Level 2 / Passing 5 specific VTC’s Vocational English Module Certificates is considered an alternative qualification.
^“ Attained” in Applied Learning subjects (subject to a maximum of two Applied Learning subjects), and Grade E in Other Language subjects in HKDSE Examination are accepted as equivalent to Level 2 in the New Senior Secondary subjects.
(b) Proficiency in the use of computer software application, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Chinese word processing;
(c) Good command of Chinese and English, preferably with knowledge of Putonghua;
(d) Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills;
(e) Ability to work independently and be a good team player;
(f) Good work initiative and be customer-oriented; and
(g) Preference will be given to applicants with relevant work experience.
Notes:
The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties at different locations, outside normal office hours and / or work on shift duty.
