Responsibilities:

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of legal documents and correspondences with counterparties including suppliers, distributors, service providers and contractors to identify all key risks, relevant terms and conditions.

• Maintain and manage a centralized database and system for legal and intellectual property documents, including but not limited to trademarks, trade secrets, and license agreements, ensuring proper version control, accessibility, and confidentiality.

• Oversee trademark applications, registrations, and portfolio management, and provide strategic advice on trademark protection strategies .

• Evaluate legal risks and guide operational decisions before escalating complex matters to external counsel. Coordinate with external counsel and professional advisors on intellectual property matters, including regulatory data protection, trademark disputes, and IP aspects of product life cycle management for business and operational units. Prepare and maintain a summary of ongoing litigation/dispute cases.

• Establishes and review corporate legal policy to protect the company from legal risk. Collaborate with Administration, Human Resources, Finance, Sales, Marketing and Production to embed legally compliant workflows, automated controls, and reporting structures into their daily practices.

Requirements:

• A solicitor qualified to practise in HK or PRC.

• Minimum 5 years’ post qualification experience (in-house experience in Pharmaceutical industry will be an advantage.)

• Solid experience in general corporate matters, intellectual property matters, particularly trademark prosecution, portfolio management, and enforcement, is an essential. 

• Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English.

• Independent, well-organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and with a strong sense of responsibility, especially in managing complex IP and contract matters under tight timelines.

• Good team player and strong interpersonal skills.

• Good command in MS Office & Chinese Word processing.
