Role Summary
As a key member of the IT team: Design, develop and maintain WWF-Hong Kong’s web applications and platforms, ensuring they are secure, reliable, user-friendly, and aligned with organizational needs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Application Development (Front-end & Back-end):
Build and maintain WWF-Hong Kong’s corporate website, microsites, donation/membership flows, event booking tools, and internal web tools.
Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using modern frameworks.
Maintain back-end services, APIs, and integrations with CRM, payment gateways, and marketing platforms.
Infrastructure & Deployment:
Set up and manage hosting environments and deployment pipelines.
Configure web servers and environments (dev/UAT/production).
Implement CI/CD processes and monitor performance.
Security, Stability & Quality:
Apply secure coding practices and ensure compliance with PDPO and other standards.
Implement monitoring, error tracking, and incident response.
Maintain code quality through reviews and documentation.
Collaboration & Support:
Work closely with vendors and internal teams on features, bug fixes, and enhancements.
Provide technical input on “build vs buy” decisions.
Offer support for critical web platform issues.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.
3–6 years of hands-on experience in full stack web development.
Strong front-end skills (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Vue/Angular).
Solid back-end experience (Node.js/Express, .NET Core, PHP).
Database experience (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB).
Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
Familiarity with Linux/Windows server environments, DNS, SSL/TLS, Git.
Experience with email marketing systems, particularly Mailchimp, including API integrations and segmentation/automation management
CMS experience (WordPress or custom CMS) and Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, GCP) are preferred
Knowledge of web security standards and data protection and prior NGO or mission-driven organization experience are considered advantages

Good communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
Proactive, accountable, and willing to own platforms end-to-end.
Genuine interest in environmental conservation and WWF’s mission.
