Position Summary:

We are looking for a research assistant to work on a project titled “The impact of parental stress, parenting practices, and the provision of learning environments on the development of working memory in kindergarten-aged children”. This longitudinal study follows children aged 4–5 over a 14-month period, examining how parent-related factors influence the development of working memory.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with protocol design and be in charge of project implementation, including participant recruitment, screening, administration of study assessment, and other aspects of data collection.

• Perform data entry, initial analyses, and report drafting.

• Provide other aspects of project and operational support, including stakeholder communication, logistic arrangements, recruitment and training of part-time staff, budgeting, and record management.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or a related discipline (preferably with honors and completion of an individual final year project).

• Research experience with children is preferred

• Competence in the use of Excel, SPSS, and Mplus. Knowledge of project management tools is preferred.

• Proficient in English and Cantonese, possess good communication and organizational skills, and be detail-oriented and self-motivated.

Salary and Fringe Benefits:

Initial appointment will normally be made on a renewable 24+ months contract.
