About the role:

Report directly to the Finance Director of Zung Fu Hong Kong & Macau. This is an integrated role covering control & compliance, risk management, corporate insurance, credit control, treasury and special finance projects which will help any experienced candidates to further widen their finance acumen, and with a potential exposure to take up wider finance leadership role in the future.

Responsibilities:

• Control & Compliance, and Risk Management
• Regularly formulate, review and update all Zung Fu policies & procedures, various standards, limits of authority etc. to ensure they are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, the policies of Jardines (Zung Fu’s shareholder), and are aligned with the company’s risk tolerance level
• Assist with the investigation on potential non-compliance issues, whistle-blowing cases, including but not limited to following up with ongoing legal cases by coordinating with Jardines Group Legal, and/or external law firms
• Serve as a liaison with Jardines Group Audit & Risk Management, covering responsibilities such as coordinating internal audits, regular audit committee submissions, and participating in various internal control or risk management related initiatives driven by Jardines
• Responsible for preparing and presenting the bi-annual risk management, control & compliance committee deck to management and shareholder
• Act as the final gate keeper of the key contract review role in the company, with the assistance of Jardines Group Legal
• Provide advisory services to other departments before any new products/services, workflows etc. are being launched, including participation in reviewing the to-be-process across operations to finance during the design phase of any new systems such as ERP
• Maintain and update regularly the company corporate risk register and keep track of all mitigation measures
• Provide regular internal trainings/workshops to employees of all levels on topics relating to internal controls, risk management and emerging risks etc.

Corporate Insurance

• Responsible for handling the annual renewal process
• Assist other departments to subscribe for required corporate insurance for long and short terms
• Assist other departments in claim submissions, and responsible for follow up on all long outstanding claims

Accounting, Credit Control & Treasury

• Coordinate and review the periodic physical stock take, fixed assets count with accountants and operations
• Be the company’s credit control lead, responsible for reviewing and approving credit accounts creation, and credit limit update requests from Operations, including the regular review of the existing accounts and limits
• Act as one of the bank liaison persons, review and monitor all treasury activities covering cash flow projections, facilities management etc.
• Ensure company’s treasury practices are in line with Jardines’ requirement, including submitting regular analysis to Jardines Group Treasury
• Actively recommend ways to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Finance team, including but not limited to building report visualization tools such as Power BI
• Lead special finance projects including but not limited to processes streamlining, ERP system implementation, etc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/BBA or other related disciplines with CPA qualification is a must
• Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in internal control & compliance, accounting & treasury and related disciplines, preferably from automobile/retail/FMCG industry
• Prior experience in an accounting department on operation finance is a bonus
• Logical thinking with strong sense and knowledge on internal control framework, and HK & Macau regulatory requirements
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in both Cantonese and English, with excellent presentation skills (Mandarin is a plus)
• A proactive self-starter and problem solver, and able to work independently
• Ability to influence people at all levels and all functions
• Savvy in IT & digitalisation, including previous experience of launching new accounting and/or ERP systems, and/or any financial data visualization reporting tool such as Power BI is a plus
