We are now looking for:

Assistant Manager Operations Performance Management (Airline Catering)

Summary

  • Stationed in Hong Kong and focus on catering performance management for designated airline customers at all LSG locations in the network.

Responsibilities

  • Report to LSG Operations Performance Management Function.
  • Establish and maintain communication with airline customer's Catering Centre of Excellence, LSG APAC OVC Operations Performance Management as well as with all LSG stations where airline customers are being served.
  • Single point of contact to airline customers for LSG network on quality management and work closely with their culinary design and quality control team.
  • Conduct catering inspection for airline customers at LSG locations globally wherever catering service being provided.
  • Leading performance reviews with the LSG Key Account Manager together with airline customers and manage LSG catering location’s quality performance
  • To spot the issues and to escalate at the locations and carry out immediate action to rectify quality issues or discrepancy found
  • Proactively identify opportunities where LSG and/or airline customers able to improve processes, and service offerings and raise these issues so that these can be evaluated and when feasible initiatives can be launched
  • Based on airline customers' feedback on quality digest, to proactively communicating and addressing performance challenges and provide training at LSG stations as per customer requirements
  • Develop plans and actions with the LSG Units to rectify problem products or discrepancy found
  • Monitor Units’ performance through catering inspections and KPIs reporting
  • Developing joint KPIs
  • Sharing benchmark processes and best practices with the LSG locations
  • Be part of the team on Make & Pack and menu development with airline customers and be aware of their quality requirement
  • Jointly running startups at LSG locations

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Hotel Catering or related discipline
  • Culinary training would be an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • Solid experience in airline, catering, service industry (Up to 3 years experience in airline catering or complex food service industry preferred)
  • Asian and International customer experience in and operational setting
  • Working knowledge in quality assurance techniques such as HACCP and auditing preferred
  • Good knowledge of food handling, preparation & cooking procedures  
  • Proven ability to reach across all internal functional groups to mobilize the organization to achieve sales, operational, financial and relevant goals.
  • Proven experience and ability to understand needs of each customer and ability to customize and negotiate proposals linked to needs of customer.
  • Ability to work seamlessly while travelling and away from office.
  • Experience in supplier contract management
  • Ability to handle a stressful working environment with extended working hours.
  • Good command of written and spoken English, Good Cantonese/Putonghua
  • Ability to manage and handle change effectively.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Applications
  • Experience in multi-cultural and Global customer experience, attitudes, communication styles and trends.
  • Strong problem solving
  • Good planning and organization skills
  • Good people and analytical skills
  • Independent, Self-motivated and proactive
