We are now looking for:

Safety & Security Assistant Manager (Airline Catering Industry)


This position is to assist the Director of Quality Management to establish, develop, implement and manage the Safety & Security System of APAC Region and to keep up the satisfactory level of compliance performance of safety and aviation security of the region.

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop, implement and sustain Safety and Security System

  • Work together with Safety and Security Leaders from Corporate level and other regions on the development and updating of standard operation procedures and management system.
  • Regularly liaise with local responsibility to understand, review and keep updating on occupational safety regulations, ramp safety and aviation security requirements according to Company, nation legislations, airline customers and airport regulations
  • Establish, control, update and deploy safety management system procedures in Customer Service Center (CSC).
  • Review and update the Safety Management System regularly to ensure the effectiveness
  • Work together with corporate functional teams for deployment and advancement of corporate manual and requirements
  • Review CSC Security Manual for the adequacy of regional approval
  • Lead Regional Safety Committee on development and implementation of regional safety standard procedure

Train, coach and support safety & security team

  • Provide training and coaching to CSC functional process owners to ensure successful deployment and sustainability of all required system procedures and standards.
  • Liaise with CSC on training need and training plan to ensure adequate training is provided to process owner. Provide train-the-trainer program as required.
  • Organize workshops when needed as the major training, project discussion and experience sharing platform for CSC, region and corporate

Monitor CSC compliance

  • Establish audit and evaluation plan as well as conduct on-site and off-site auditing and evaluation activities to monitor CSC compliance
  • Perform risk assessment and establish risk management plan with CSC
  • Establish the evaluation and monitoring procedure for continuous measurement and monitoring of safety and security performance. Maintain the documentation and communication of the periodical performance report.
  • Suggest methodology on target setting for continuous improvement and to establish measurable indicators to reflect CSC performance

Incident investigation, Handling, Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement

  • Lead incident investigation, incident handling and problem solving for serious accident or incident

Communication and Supervision

  • Establish regular communicate schedule with CSC process owner, such as regular conference call for information exchange, update and performance discussion.
  • Establish and maintain communication mechanism with all levels especially for major accident and incident occurrence


  • Holder of Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Quality Management or other subjects in the disciplines of science, engineering or the similar.
  • At least 5 years working experience in which 3 years in supervisory or management position.
  • Experience in airline catering operation and work safety management is preferred.
  • Knowledge on Safety Management System such as ISO45000, OHSAS18001
  • Knowledge on Aviation Security Requirement based on ICAO is preferred.
  • Knowledge on risk assessment; inspection and audit skill; process analysis; problem solving is required.
  • High proficiency in spoken Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
  • Good presentation and training skill. Training experience is preferred
  • Strong leadership skill.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill with all levels
  • Can work under stress
  • Willing to travel overseas frequently
