Business Development Manager

Job Scope :  To further expand the business of the group in South East Asia and assist to look for and explore opportunities in South Asia.  The group has setting up operations in South East Asia (Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam), with a small local team there in last few years and is looking for a person with high calibre and in-depth domestic experience in South East Asia countries to lead and promote the business of the group there to next stage and setting up the proper logistics infrastructure along.

This person is required to stay in one of the countries that we have bases in South East Asia, frequent contact with HK HQ and other business units in Greater China and regular but not frequent fly back to HK HQ for reporting is required.


  • Responsible regions include S.E. Asia and South Asia;
  • Promote company’s brand, products and solution based business in current and new emerging industrial sectors;
  • Explore new client groups and identify major business opportunities;
  • Strategically drive and implement product development for different market segments;
  • Develop supply chain solutions and work closely with various functional teams in order to identify new business initiatives / new distribution channel;
  • Update and analyse the situation of any business development regularly;
  • Assist in any ad hoc projects if requested.


  • Solid experience with proven track record to explore and develop B2B market in Southeast Asia;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field;
  • 8 years’ experience in business development and supply chain management, preferably in the raw materials / commodities / resources industry;
  • Strong insight on customer needs, industry trends and regulatory environment;
  • Strong strategic thinking ability with a track record of implementing overall product strategy;
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Pro-active, innovative and confident, aggressive, outgoing & pleasant.
