Product Manager / Brand Manager (6 Openings)

Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Product Managers or Brand Managers to take responsibility in guiding the success of a product and leading the cross-functional team that is responsible for improving it. It is an important organizational role, you must be able to set the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for a product or product line. The position will also include marketing, forecasting, and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.

Product Managers or Brand Managers provide the deep product expertise needed to lead the organization and make strategic product decisions. You often analyze market and competitive conditions, laying out a product vision that is differentiated and delivers unique value based on customer demands. The role spans many activities from strategic to tactical and provides important cross-functional leadership — most notably between engineering, marketing, sales, and support teams.

You are the persons responsible for defining the why, when, and what of the product that the engineering team builds. This means you have to lead cross-functional teams from a product's conception all the way through to its launch.

We need Product Managers or Brand Managers in the following Product Lines, 1.) Mobile Accessories, including Power Banks and Chargers; 2.) Quality Backpacks, Sleeves & Cases for Laptops, Tablets & Smartphones; 3.) Travel Accessories, 4.) Smart Home Products, 5.) Smartphones, Tablets & Laptop Computers, and 6.) In-Car Accessories.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Has responsibilities to manage from concept, to design, sample production, testing, forecast, cost, mass production, promotion, support, and finally product end of life.
  • Delivers the operating plan: the achievement of growth objectives including market share, revenue, profit and return on investment for all the channels/categories of business and/or key customers.
  • Responsible for managing and implementing marketing activities through research, strategic planning and implementation.
  • Determines customers' needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product to competitors' products.
  • Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
  • Obtains product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies.
  • Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.
  • Facilitates inventory turnover and product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels and production schedules.
  • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
  • Determines product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.

Job Requirements:

  • Proven experience as Product Manager or a Brand Manager with total ownership of a related Product Line
  • Experience in Product Management, People Management, Understanding the Customer, Product Development, Requirements Analysis, Pricing, Planning, Competitive Analysis, Sales Planning, Inventory Control, Financial Planning and Strategy.
  • Strong market sensitivity, analytical skills, with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, self-motivated, independent, hardworking, stable, mature, willing to work overtime and able to work under pressure.
  • BSc/BA in marketing, digital marketing, global business or ecommerce or relevant field
  • With working experience in manufacturing companies for mobile accessory products, data storage media products, smart home products as well as travel accessory products would be a great advantage.
  • At least 3-5 years of solid product management or brand management experience with good track records.
  • Solid work ethic and strong time and project management skills.
  • Willing to travel occasionally or regularly across markets or regions.
  • Good business sense with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Chinese; Mandarin is a definite advantage.
