Media Analyst

Media is all around us; from print media such as newspapers to billboards, TV and on the internet. Media is ever-evolving. Are you interested in how Nielsen technology and data analytics can support media strategies to help our clients grow? If you are, then for our Hong Kong office, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Media Analyst. 

The Role:

This role involves working with Nielsen managers and our clients to identify audience trends and understand the reasons why people behave the way they do. Through our audience measurement tools, such as cloud-based and optimization solutions, the Media Analyst will help our clients with their strategy for all media-related topics and challenges.


  • Prepare media analysis reports for clients including both traditional and digital media
  • Identify clients’ needs and analyze media usage and behaviour in Hong Kong
  • Provide clients with consultancy services by producing and delivering actionable recommendations on media-related research projects
  • Be part of a task-force that monitors the ever-changing media trends of Hong Kong
  • Assist in data modelling and analytics
  • Build and maintain ongoing relationship with clients


  • Recent graduate or less than 1 year work experience preferably (but not a must) in media research or digital analytics
  • Interest in the digital media space and the overall media landscape
  • University degree in Business, Marketing, Communication or Statistics
  • Logical thinking with a can-do attitude who is creative and with good communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently and be a team player
  • Proficient in both verbal and written English and Cantonese. Mandarin is a plus
