Helpdesk Support (2 yrs exp)

Job Duties

  • To perform all duties related to roll-out of Windows 10
  • To install PC hardware (e.g. PC, printer, RAM, hard disk, DVD drive, Chinese inputting device, sound card, etc.) and software, and set up multi-media equipment at various offices of the Department;
  • To contact end-users and assist in arranging roll-out schedule;
  • To perform function tests on the installed software and demonstrate basic functions to end-users;
  • To provide telephone and on-site helpdesk services to end-users, and trouble-shoot problems on PCs and computer equipment;
  • To assist in diagnosing problems of installed hardware / software and arrange for follow-up action with software vendor(s)
  • To assist in providing user support for general office automation systems (e.g. Lotus Notes client, Windows 7/8/10, MS Office, Internet Explorer, etc.);
  • To assist in testing new hardware and software products;
  • To assist in system administration work of the computer network, monitoring performance of major systems, and backing up of servers and computer systems;
  • To conduct IT inventory, stocktake and relevant duties;
  • To perform any other computer related and administrative duties assigned by senior officers.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or above in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience
  • Solid experience in Windows 7/8/10 and PC LAN support
  • Experience in providing user support to OpenText eDOCs Document Management version 5.3 is a definite advantage
  • Prior working experience in / with Government is a plus
  • May need to work in different office located at different district
  • Willing to perform duties during weekends occasionally
  • Good command of spoken and written of English and Chinese
