General Manager, Corporate Communications & Marketing

Job Description

As Century capabilities continue to grow, we are focused on further developing our Corporate Communications and Marketing strategy.  This role will be the strategic thinker with the domain knowledge, business acumen and hands-on attitude to elevate Century’s reputation in the industry, drive the continuous development and execution of the group-level communications and marketing strategy for internal and external stakeholders and be a brand custodian for promoting and sustaining the corporate brand image and corporate culture. This role plays as a bridge between the small team and the executives as he/she will report to VP, Customer Experience (Asia) and work closely with COO, CIO and CCO.  

Job Responsibilities

Corporate Communications

  • Oversee and supervise all communications literature such as daily eDM, presentation materials, factsheets, announcements, survey questionnaire and other corporate messages to all stakeholders
  • Drive, manage and deliver effective communications materials for achieving different goals of corporate and marketing communications initiatives which supports to the needs of cross teams like sales teams, customer strategy team, business solutions
  • Roll out internal communications protocols for new CRM and e-learning / training platform that will foster employee morale and best practice sharing
  • Lead the company, team, related stakeholders to launch and develop the sustainability strategy
  • Provide proactive, practical and strategic counsel and support to the business leaders
  • Assist C-level suite for planning and execution of issues / crisis management and communications for corporate matters if needed

Marketing

  • Be the gate keeper of any meeting presentation decks, business development associated materials, whitepapers for strategic accounts to support various teams from different regions
  • Lead the team to conduct market research for market trends and industry challenges analysis, advocating insightful solutions of customer communications
  • Ensure frequent and agile communications well delivered and received by strategic customers and potential customers for client acquisition and customer retention
  • Give guidance to the team for collaborating and monitoring service providers to create and develop the story-telling write-up of logistics industry which will be the feeding content to support digital marketing campaigns

Media Relations

  • Explore new strategic directions and channels to boost Century’s presence in the industry and market through starting conversations and building good relationships with relevant media
  • Identify, create and leverage corporate branding and industry/business stories to reach a broader audience through industry media relations, conference, award, webinars, industry related directory, etc.
  • Prepare various media communication materials, including press releases, lines-to-take, media Q&As, newsletters, speeches, and so forth for C-level executives
  • Develop and manage accurate measurement and reporting of media coverage and content efforts to demonstrate how the effort ties back to the overall business and marketing goals

Brand Management

  • Demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills to the team on working with vendors to accomplish brand engagement projects such as office and warehouse renovation and corporate swag production for global offices
  • Brainstorm with the team to explore, plan and implement CSR activities across different regions and engage staff members to participate and support
  • Identify competitors’ brand strategy and enforce the positioning of the company
  • Be the brand custodian to ensure quality brand image, manage brand guidelines and templates, and brand check on regularly basis to ensure brand consistency

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder in Communications, PR, Marketing, Journalism, Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related disciplines
  • 15+ years of solid experience in corporate communications, corporate branding, marketing communications, sustainability field preferably in logistics industry / PR agency
  • Ability to work autonomously and undertake a diverse range of tasks whilst managing multiple deadlines with high quality outcome
  • Agile, resilient, and able to work independently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized and structured with strong attention to detail
  • Have stamina and a persistent attitude, strong curiosity to new ideas and good appetite for experimentation
  • Strong stakeholder management capabilities in managing diverse relationships with the ability to multi-task
  • A good team player and ability to work with teams across different functions and geographies
  • Near-native English in both written and verbal communications skills, and excellent proficiency in both verbal and written Cantonese and Mandarin (written test will be required)
  • Candidate with more experience will be considered as Manager
  • Immediate availability is preferred
