Material Controller
Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co Ltd

What You'll Do

  • Support aircraft maintenance operation by  managing all the spares requirements for assigned aircraft projects or workshop repair order
  • Provide relevant material information to all related parties in a timely manner that can ensure the acquired spares comply with regulatory requirements, thus, to deliver the final product with safety and quality
  • Cope with problems arising from unavailability of critical spares
  • Participate in customer aircraft pre-dock and progress review meeting
  • Control and monitor the spares requirements for aircraft projects and ensure timely availability of materials from HAECO and Customers under minimum supervision
  • Monitor spares demands and shortages on aircraft projects and report status in a timely manner
  • Engaged in a greater variety of tasks which are more complex in nature.  Besides, the job holder will be responsible for the following duties:
    • Attend aircraft pre-dock and progress review meetings
    • Source and cope with AOG / critical shortages after normal office hours
    • Cope with problems arising from unavailability of critical spares and shortages with long lead-time
  • Able to work independently and make logical judgment under pressure
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Shift duty may require (subject to operation need)

 

What You Need

1. Functional and other Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 2 years relevant experience for HKCEE / HKDSE graduates or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience for Diploma holder in relevant disciplines or equivalent
  • No relevant experience required for Higher Diploma / Degree holder in relevant disciplines or equivalent

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • English - Attained HKCEE Grade E or HKDSE Grade 3
  • Meet performance requirement if promoting from Material Controller Grade 1
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good command of conversational English and Chinese
  • Good command of written English
  • Good PC skills with Microsoft Office applications preferred
  • Supply chain and / or aircraft maintenance knowledge preferred
  • Passed training on Customer Service Skills (Frontline), Instructing & Coaching and one Aircraft Type General Familiarization
  • Passed Trade Test administered by MM Department
  • Demonstrated proficiency in use of company IT System and relevant customer systems as assessed by MM Specialist
