Material Management Specialist (Tool Rooms)
Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co Ltd

What You'll Do

  • Manage teams of tool room operators for day-to-day operations to perform tool receipt & visual check, tool storage, tool loan, tool return, tool maintenance and servicing to support the maintenance activities
  • Assure compliance to company and regulatory safety requirements including the working environment, procedures, staff training and personal protection equipment
  • Plan and allocate resources including the manpower and storage space to fulfill operation need
  • Assure compliance to regulatory requirements and company / customer procedures
  • Conduct continuous review, plan and evaluate tool room activities, work flow, cost effectiveness, KPI achievement, staff performance and development
  • Work closely with internal / external customers to deliver solutions that meet their needs
  • Perform occurrence analysis and investigation of related quality audit findings, customer complaints, IOR’s and MOR’s and propose corrective and preventive action plan.  Liaise with internal and external parties for case follow up
  • Monitor and assure quality and safety standard of the workplace
  • Monitor the progress of the calibration / repair / load test and expedite the outstanding orders
  • Initiate, lead, prepare and present progress report of ad hoc / process improvement projects
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff
  • Perform supervisory duties
  • Perform ad hoc duties as assigned

 

What You Need

1. Functional and other Relevant Experience

  • Degree in supply chain management, logistics, aviation or relevant disciplines
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience, preferably in supply chain / aviation industry
  • Excellent knowledge in supply chain operations / aviation

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication, supervisory and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent leadership and negotiation skills
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Good in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge in Lean / Six Sigma / 5S / ISO an advantage
