Major Duties:
(a)     To oversee the implementation of new capital works and major alterations, additions and improvement (AA&I) projects;
(b)     To oversee the preparation of tender documents such as contract drawings, contract agreement and programme of construction for consultancy services;
(c)     To supervise the preparation of project briefs, schedule of accommodation, accommodation requirements and technical feasibility study;
(d)     To oversee the administration and management of Architectural and Associated Consultancy Services contracts and works contracts;
(e)     To manage in-house staff, external consultants and contractors;
(f)      To liaise with various users, Government officers and stakeholders;
(g)     To supervise the preparation of design, presentation materials and drawings;
(h)     To monitor project expenditure and progress to ensure timely completion of projects;
(i)     To ensure compliance with statutory legislations and procedures;
(j)     To incorporate maintenance, health and safety standards and requirements into works projects; and
(k)     To identify and implement latest trend and best practice in construction industry.
      
Requirements:
(a)     A recognised degree or equivalent in Architecture;
(b)     A corporate membership of a relevant professional institution and a Registered Architect;
(c)     At least 7 years’ work experience at managerial level preferably on the clients’ side or representing the clients’ side such as government / public organisations / tertiary institutions / consultants for project management of new capital works, R&M and/or AA&I projects;
(d)     Good knowledge in design of smart and green buildings;
(e)     Good administrative, interpersonal, communication and team building skills;
(f)      Sound management capability and ability to work independently; and
(g)     Good command of Chinese and English.
