Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager
China State Construction Engineering (Hong Kong) Limited

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for overall management of contractual and commercial issues for construction projects
  • Manage the commercial team, supervise the preparation of pre-qualification submissions, commercial review of tenders, sub-contract tender, and related documentation
  • Oversee the project cash flow by timely, complete, and proper submission of interim applications
  • Continually work towards, prepare and agree on project final account
  • Develop and manage project commercial strategy
  • Effective management of risks and opportunities
  • Provide contractual, financial, and commercial advice to the project team
  • Supervise, approve and endorse claim submissions

Requirements:

  • Degree or above in Quantity Surveying or equivalent, preferably with MHKIS, MRICS, PRS, ACIArb professional qualifications. 
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant project experience of which 8 years with main contractors in a leading commercial role for large scale contract. 
  • Experience in contract administration, claims preparation, with commercial and legal/ arbitration knowledge, familiar with various forms of conditions of contracts, cost control, planning, and strategic management.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Good at task prioritizing and team supervision.
