Assistant Project Officer

Innovation and Technology Co-Creation Centre

Major Duties:

(a)  To provide support to internal and external stakeholders to facilitate industry and community collaborations for nurturing students’ skills in innovation and technology;

(b)  To assist in conducting market research and technology analysis for building in-house applications that support student-staff collaboration projects with educational benefits;

(c)  To assist in conducting ideation and incubation-related training and coaching sessions for students to promote innovation and technology;

(d)  To assist in organising, coordinating and delivering on student co-creation projects and activities for ITCC locally and outside Hong Kong;

(e)  To support other operational units to ensure effective operation and management of resources of ITCC;

(f)   To work with other operational units to support GBA collaboration projects, exchange activities and travel in GBA; and

(g)  To assist in the administrative duties of ITCC in respect of one or more of the following areas:

      (i)  Operation support, including but not limited to activities, in-service training, and matters relating to the operation of the ITCC;

     (ii)  Supervision of student projects;

    (iii)  Venue and equipment setting for events, webinars and other functions;

    (iv)  Committee work;

    (v)  Financial and supplies matters;

   (vi)  Preparation of marketing materials; and

   (vii) General administration and facilities management.


(a)  A recognised degree, or equivalent, in Business Administration, Design, Engineering, Hospitality, Information Technology, Science or related disciplines, preferably with relevant professional and post-graduate qualifications;

(b)  Proactive, meticulous, independent, dynamic, self-motivated and able to work under pressure on a tight schedule;

(c)  Outgoing personality with good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;

(d)  High proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese and fluent in Putonghua;

(e)  Experience in supporting pre-incubation programmes, providing mentorship and coaching start-up project teams; and

(f)   Candidates with strong background in project design and development, solid experience in coordinating student activities, solid experience in coaching collaboration projects with industry and community, and linkage with industry / professional bodies or with solid industry experience will have an advantage.


(1)  The post is at the rank of “Teaching Associate”.

(2)  Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.

(3)  The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal office hours and at different work locations as assigned. He / she may also be required to travel outside Hong Kong when needed.
