School for Higher and Professional Education (SHAPE)

Major Duties:
(a) To perform administrative duties in one or more of the following areas:
(i) Student admission and records management;
(ii) Academic support and quality assurance;
(iii) System enhancement;
(iv) Marketing and publicity activities;
(v) Finance and supplies matters;
(vi) Human resources management; and
(vii) General administration and facilities management;
(b) To collate figures, compile statistical reports and perform data analysis;
(c) To supervise and coordinate the work of clerical and supporting staff to ensure effective delivery of the collaborative degree programmes;
(d) To assist in the formulation, implementation and review of operational policies, systems and procedures;
(e) To provide support in events, projects and activities of the School;
(f) To undertake committee work in various committees, boards and meetings; and
(g) To help implement the quality policy of the operational unit.
Requirements:
(a) A recognised degree or equivalent;
(b) At least 2 years’ relevant work experience in educational institutions or comparable organisations;
(c) Good communication, interpersonal, organisation and administrative skills;
(d) Good problem solving, time management and team building skills;
(e) Self-initiative, detail-minded, willingness to meet challenges and able to handle a variety of assignments with minimal supervision;
(f) A high level of written and spoken language proficiency in both English and Chinese; and
(g) Preferably with good IT knowledge and skills.
Notes:
(1) Applicants with substantial experience and achievements in the relevant field but without the required academic / professional qualifications OR those with exceptional academic / professional qualifications but with less experience may also apply.
(2) Shortlisted candidate(s) will be required to take a written assessment.
(3) The appointee(s) may be required to work on irregular hours and perform duties on Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.
(4) Candidates who are immediately available would be preferred.
