System Administrator

Job Duties:

  • Overall support for the SMART Safety / 4S and DWSS systems deployed on the project
  • Reporting to the Information Manager
  • Interfacing with the project safety and quality teams regarding the system operations and to provide assistance where necessary
  • Contact point for the system vendors that provide the solutions
  • Liaising with the system vendor to ensure efficient resolution of issues and to ensure all contract provisions are met, including
  • System maintenance / Troubleshooting – provide diagnostic support for operation and maintenance of software, hardware and network components.
  • Minimize downtime and maintain uptime of system performance.
  • User management – setup and manage user accounts with appropriate access and security.
  • Monitor and security – Monitor system performance, identify potential risks and measure to protect data and system security
  • Documentation – Maintain detailed records of system configurations, maintenance activities and issues encountered and resolved.

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding of the policies from Development Bureau and other statutory organizations related to SMART Site Safety Systems and Digital Works Supervision Systems (DWSS)
  • Have knowledge and experience of the specific technologies that form these systems
  • Have an appreciation and understanding of the implementation of these technologies and digital tools onto live construction sites. Specific experience in this regard is desirable.
  • Relevant experience in the construction industry is preferred
