Network Security Engineer - IPS, Web Application Firewall, Anti-DDoS, API Protection Platform, SSL

Duties:

- Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve a public transport client;
- Manage and configure network firewalls, IPS and Web Application Firewalls, Anti-DDoS and API protection platform to support IT projects and business operations.
- Identify network security issue and the area of improvement and track the mitigation progress till completion.
- Assist in reviewing the network security design of new project architecture designs.
- Prepare standard work procedures and guidelines and contribute ideas to drive quality outputs.
- Liaise with other internal counterparts / vendors on technical support issues and change issues.
- Prepare project documentation, test plan and conduct technical briefings, coordinate DR drills and non-functional User Acceptance Test (UAT) with project teams.
- on-call for ad hoc or emergency service out of office hours when required.

Requirements:

- Degree in IT, Computer Science or related disciplines with a minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in safeguarding network security in sizable company.
- Knowledge and experience in Linux, Windows Server, DNS, network firewalls, IPS, Web Application Firewalls (WAFs), Anti-DDoS and API protection platform, SSL decryption technology as well as firewall management tools.
- Holder of ITIL / CCNA / CISSP is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and be able to handle technical issues independently.
- Proactive, strong customer centric mindset and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work effectively under tight deadlines and schedules.
- Good communication skills in both spoken and written English, Mandarin is an advantage.
