The MSc Programs Office is looking for high-caliber candidates to support the MSc programs in different disciplines at the HKUST Business School. Reporting to both the Academic Director and Head of the MSc Programs, the appointee will be responsible for all aspects of managing the designated programs, including but not limited to the following major areas:
Academic Management: manage course planning and class scheduling; follow-through with teaching faculty on the course management cycle to ensure smooth teaching experience.
Student/Alumni Management: facilitate incoming and outgoing students for international exchange; manage student dynamics and disciplines of a diverse group of students; organize enrichment events to enhance student engagement; drive student development opportunities and ensure good student learning experience; and foster closer ties with the alumni community.
Student Recruitment: manage the whole chain of student selection, interview and admissions process; ensure recruitment of high caliber students with international diversity.
Partner Relations: manage relations with academic institutions, corporate speakers and professional associations to bring in various exposure and benefits to students continuously.
Program Operations: manage a small team to provide day-to-day program operation and administration; ensure a smooth running of the program, and manage ad-hoc projects as assigned.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree, preferably in business disciplines, with at least 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience in program administration and/or in the education sector. The ideal candidates should be self-motivated, able to work independently, attentive to details, with a growth mindset and strong ability to manage multi-task work and meet deadlines. The appointee should also be a good team player and people-oriented, and possess good interpersonal and communication skills, and good presentation and co-ordination skills. An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese is required. Experience supervising a small, high-efficiency team would be advantageous. Working outside normal office hours and during weekends may be required. Overseas travelling is required occasionally. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
