Senior Officer, Technical

 

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide CADD design and drafting services for preparation of detailed design, site condition survey drawings and temporary traffic arrangement drawing for projects
  • Review the format of CADD drawings or BIM model submissions by consultants or contractors to ensure they are in compliance with the standard specifications, the Authority’s requirements and relevant statutory requirements
  • Update relevant airport as-built CADD  / BIM models by using information from final as-constructed drawings or BIM models submitted by contractors after completion of works
  • Conduct Technical Services (TS) BIM submission review and support TS tender preparation using BIM modelling
  • Provide on-going support for managing BIM deliverables
  • Handle digital models in drawing production, 3D visualization and simulation
  • Prepare 3D Aircraft or Vehicle simulation for engineering works
  • Carry out on-site data acquisition and verification
  • Perform Basemap and new attributes data for update in EGIS

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate or above in Architectural Studies, Building Studies, Geomatics, Geographic Information System (GIS) or other related disciplines with at least 8 years’ relevant working experience in CADD drafting and modelling.  Degree holder with minimum of 4 years’ relevant working experience will also be considered
  • Solid experience in Microstation and other 3D CADD / BIM applications (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Navisworks), Geographic Information System (ESRI ArcGIS) or engineering design applications (InRoads, OpenRoads, AviPlan, AutoTurn) will be an advantage
  • Proactive, service-oriented and able to work independently
  • Good interpersonal, organizing and communication skills
  • Possess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.  Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
