Senior Officer, IT

This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 24 months with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform research and analysis with the objectives of identifying innovative solution for the airport environment within defined schedule
  • Support to initiate innovation project proposals and execute of the innovation projects according to project objectives and milestones to achieve timely and precise delivery technology and execute any ad-hoc project and other duties assigned by the management
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends of technology and innovation applicable to airport environment, ensuring timely exploration and recommendation for incorporation in IT plan, HKIA technology roadmap or future airport design
  • Support Innovation Lab continuous development on daily visits and operation to equipment upgrade.  Support Innovation team on liaison with different business partners including startups, vendors or research institutions for effective information exchange on aviation industry and promoting technology visions
  • Act as the member of Innovation CoE (“Centre of Excellence”) to support application delivery team on new product market research, design and overall innovation technologies alignment, and further reach out to business stakeholders to promote potential innovative technologies and recommend the way-forward

Requirements:

  • University Degree in Computer Science/ Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Business Management or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of IT experience
  • Experience in innovative technologies such as autonomous vehicles, robots, biometric solutions, AI/ML, IoT or mobile technology is an added advantage
  • In-depth knowledge of IT standards for aviation industry and development experience on airport IT systems and infrastructure preferred
  • Good exposure and experience in managing IT works preferred
  • Attentive to details and able to work independently
  • Good communication and clear presentation skills
  • Excellent command of spoken, written and comprehension in English and Chinese
