This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise project and engineering works for the existing Baggage Handling System (BHS) and Baggage Security Screening System (BSS)
• Supervise and assist in handover, defect inspection, testing and commissioning of new works
• Ensure new engineering works in compliance with the latest design codes and practices, the Authority’s requirements and relevant statutory requirements
• Prepare system log, fault reports, incident investigation and fault analysis
• Assist in preparing maintenance contracts and budget control
• Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure the works are conducted in safe and efficient manner with minimal impact on daily airport operations
• Perform shift duties including overnight shift if required

Requirements:

• Higher Diploma or Higher Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering or other related disciplines with at least 8 years’ relevant working experience in site supervision of large scale electronic, electrical & mechanical projects.  Degree holder with at least 4 years’ relevant working experience will also be considered
• Candidate without the above specified academic qualification but have 12 years’ relevant working experience will also be considered
• Solid experience in supervision of maintenance or installation works for BHS and/or Material Handling System (MHS) under a live operating environment will be an advantage
• Proactive, service oriented and be able to work independently
• Team player with good communication, interpersonal and organizing skills
• Possess a valid HK driving license (class 1, 2) is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese.  Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
