The HKUST Business School's MSc Programs Office is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our dynamic and supportive team. The MSc Programs Office oversees a portfolio of specialized MSc programs, catering to full-time students who are fresh graduates from around the world and part-time students who are working executives in various industries across Asia, with a special focus on the Greater China region.
Reporting directly to the Head of MSc Programs, the Senior Manager will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall student experience, driving growth, and fostering innovation and excellence in our MSc programs. The appointee will be entrusted with the following key responsibilities:
- Spearhead the development of new MSc programs, contribute to the growth and diversification of our program offerings, and oversee the successful implementation of these initiatives.
- Engage with academic and corporate partners in new initiatives and projects, foster innovation and excellence, and ensure adherence to strategic objectives. Cultivate and maintain rapport with existing and potential academic partners and collaborate to enhance the overall student experience for all MSc programs.
- Contribute to alumni development and strengthening connections with our esteemed alumni network.
- Implement new initiatives and project development, compile qualitative reports with quantitative analysis, oversee regular program exercises, and collect relevant data to inform decision-making and future strategies.
- Act as the primary point of contact and coordinator for internal and external parties on MSc program related matters.
- Oversee the office's daily operations, managing staff supervision and administrative matters, ensuring a highly efficient and cohesive work environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree, preferably in a business discipline, and have at least 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience in program administration and/or the education sector. The ideal applicant should be a good team player, demonstrate a proactive attitude, and a track record of managing operations at the TPG level. They must be committed to taking ownership of responsibilities, adaptable to changing circumstances, and possess strong leadership and management skills, including supervisory experience. Problem-solving, good interpersonal and communication and analytical skills are essential. Attention to detail, multitasking, and exceptional collaboration skills are required. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese is necessary. Work outside normal office hours, including weekends/ public holidays or evenings is occasionally required. Candidates with less experience may be considered for appointment as Manager. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
