The School of Business and Management is seeking a high-caliber individual skilled in project administration to join the Fintech and Green Finance Projects Team.
The appointee will supervise a small team of administrative staff responsible for assisting project leaders in multiple research initiatives focused on fintech and green finance. Reporting to the project leaders, the appointee will work with a project manager to achieve project goals, ensure seamless delivery, and promote awareness of research outcomes and impacts through events and marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage project progress and adapt work as necessary;
- Prepare all required materials and create detailed reports for project reviews;
- Oversee all incoming and outgoing project documentation;
- Administer meetings, including those for the projects’ Executive Committees and Advisory Boards;
- Manage a team of administrative staff and coordinate with project teams and research staff to facilitate smooth project delivery;
- Foster and maintain relationships with project partners;
- Identify notable outcomes and impact of the team’s initiatives and produce publicity materials
- Optimize and improve processes and the overall approaches as needed;
- Conduct research to understand industry developments and trends;
- Support ad-hoc projects or administrative tasks as required by new development needs; and
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration, management, or communications;
- A minimum of 7 years' work experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role;
- Experience in project administration or management within a higher education institution or similar setting;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese;
- Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously;
- A leadership mentality and a team-oriented mindset;
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills;
- Big-picture thinking and vision, with attention to detail; and
- Self-starter who thrives under pressure.
(Duration: 2 years, renewable subject to performance and funding availability)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided where applicable. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
