Duties
The appointee will play a vital role in the Administrative Application Services Section, responsible for the development, implementation, and support of the University’s administrative systems. He/She will be required to:
(a) lead and/or conduct application development and implementation projects for the University’s administrative systems;
(b) liaise with users on the collection and analysis of system requirements;
(c) perform system design, development, testing, implementation and related maintenance and support tasks;
(d) participate in data conversion program design, development, data cleansing, loading and verification, and production data migration;
(e) support outsourced projects and liaise with vendors to facilitate system development, upgrade, testing and support of administrative applications;
(f) assist supervisor in planning, technical evaluation and implementation of system upgrade and system enhancements; and
(g) perform any other duties assigned by the Director of the Office or his delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should have:
(a) have a recognised degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline;
(b) have at least five years of solid working experience in systems analysis and design, and development of application systems for Senior Analyst post, and preferably at least one year of relevant working experience for Analyst post;
(c) have substantial experience in system development using Java J2EE, ReactJS, Redux, Node.js, Express.js, RESTful, Git, Javascript, JQuery, Websphere Application Server, Red Hat OpenShift, UNIX platform and Window platform;
(d) preferably have related experience in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and K2, and integration with OpenText ECM;
(e) have solid experience in Oracle RDBMS, SQL Server;
(f) have strong analytical skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills to work with different levels of users; and
(g) have the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English and Chinese.
Conditions of Service
A highly competitive remuneration package will be offered. Initial appointment will be on a fixed-term gratuity-bearing contract. Re-engagement thereafter is subject to mutual agreement.
