Job Summary: 

The Cybersecurity Engineer is responsible for protecting an organization’s computer systems and networks from cyber threats. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures, monitoring for security breaches, and responding to incidents to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Design, implement, and manage security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software). 
• Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, using security tools and software. 
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses. 
• Respond to and investigate security incidents, providing detailed analysis and remediation. 
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices. 
• Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of technology. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions. 
• Provide security awareness training to staff. 
• Prepare reports and documentation related to security incidents, risk assessments, and compliance. 

Requirements: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience). 
• Proven experience in cybersecurity, information security, or related roles. 
• Strong knowledge of network and system security, cryptography, and risk management. 
• Experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection). 
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS). 
• Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CISSP, CEH, Security+, CISM). 
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. 
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
