Major Duties:

(a)    To perform teaching duties and assist in supervision of students’ projects and fieldwork placement;
(b)    To assist in carrying out duties in relation to student and academic administration;
(c)    To assist in developing programme curriculum and teaching, learning and assessment materials;
(d)    To act as Module Co-ordinator / Leader of Structured Whole Person Development (SWPD) Programme;
(e)    To plan, design, organise and evaluate student developmental programmes; and
(f)    To participate in networking with industry / industrial attachments, departmental projects and functions including but not limited to consultancy services, research studies, seminars and exhibitions.

Requirements:

(a)    A recognised degree in Social Science, Social Work, Liberal Studies, or relevant discipline, or professional qualification, preferably with a post-graduate qualification;
(b)    Preferably with relevant teaching and/or industry experience in teaching and developing generic skills modules, leading discipline projects, organising experiential learning programmes, adventure-based activities and training, student services or youth work and/or working with experience in teaching and supporting students with special educational needs will be an advantage;
(c)    A good team player with the ability to work independently under pressure;
(d)    Good communication and presentation skills in both English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and
(e)    Well-versed in e-learning.

Notes:

(1)The post is at the rank of Teaching Associate.
(2)Shortlisted candidates will be required to take a written assessment.
(3)The appointee(s) may be required to perform duties outside normal working hours and/or outside campus.
