What this job involves
Implement the changes, involves hardware upgrades, new hardware installations, server relocations, decommissions, configuration for accessibility, patching and laying cables from installed device to assigned switch ports
Installation of structured cabling solutions as per onsite solutions
Stock support of cabling and patch cords as required
Removal of unused structured cabling as required
Unique labelling of patch cables
Details of the implementation (Patching details and cabinet location detail) for their records which are mostly comprised in Detail Design Form or equivalent and raise relevant changes for physical implementation
Monitor of the environmental controls and CCTV visuals, to report any errors and control the environment
Interested? An ideal candidate would need to have the following qualifications
Desired experience and technical skills
Required
Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in DC operation
Extensive knowledge of Microsoft server products
Extensive knowledge in PC and server hardware as well as networking, DC power schemes
Knowledge in Nlyte and Snow
Hands on experience in Data Centre Operation is a MUST
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written in Cantonese and English
