(This is a fixed-term contract position of 2-year with possibility for renewal subject to organisational needs and individual performance)
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:
contributing to market research to identify sources of suppliers and gathering pricing information;
assisting in the maintenance and update of contract database and supplier database, ensuring effective use of the system to evaluate and monitor supplier performances;
supporting procurement planning through collaboration with users and manager in the preparation of procurement plan/sourcing strategies and defining with users the most appropriate sourcing methods and project timeline;
supporting procurement process and executions of various procurement activities including Request-for-Quotations (RFQ)/ Tender documentation and preparation of purchase orders (PO) using ERP;
ensuring accuracy, completeness and clarity of RFQ/tender documents and PO details plus compliance of procurement activities with WKCDA's policies and guidelines;
participating in the preparation of data analyses, management information and regular procurement reports, ensuring availability of all supporting documents for audit and review purposes;
contributing to knowledge networks and communities of best practices; and
performing other duties as may be assigned.
You should:
possess a recognised degree, preferably in purchasing and supply management, business management or equivalent;
preferably have knowledge of procurement standard/regulation, processes and procedures;
be attentive to details and able to handle multiple projects to meet deadlines;
have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-cultural environment;
possess proven experience in the usage of computers and office software packages and advanced knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages; and
be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese.
