Responsibilities:
- Guide Global Sourcing Office and local sourcing office teams to ensure cross-divisional alignment.
- Monitor the Merchandising team on sample development, order follow-ups, product quality, and delivery timelines.
- Communicate with suppliers, including price negotiations, to meet quality and testing requirements.
- Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and evaluate their performance.
- Forecast costs, vendor mapping & order allocation for the range plan by season.
- Source new suppliers, monitor their performance, and manage allocation.
- Provide technical expertise on fabric properties, production processes, and quality assurance.
- Prepare, review, and analyze reports on inventory, FOB forecasts, deliveries, and overall production performance.
- Conduct fabric searches and research.
- Collaborate closely with the Product Development (PD) team and the buying team at various stages of development.
- Manage relevant processes both internally and externally.
- Carry out other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Degree / Diploma in Fashion & Textile or related discipline
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in merchandising
- Good knowledge of textile and garment production processes, especially in woven
- Strong network of garment manufactures
- Good sense of garment costing structure
- Good supervisory, communication and negotiation skills, must be able to work independently
- Mature, outgoing, able to perform under pressure and overtime
- Travel to China is required
- Immediate available is highly preferred
