Reports to: Head of Public Relations and Communications

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing effective public relations and communications strategy

• Assist in planning and executing engagement strategies with stakeholders including the media, key opinion leaders, policymakers, legislators, district council members and the public

• Develop and maintain corporate messaging, press invite, press release and media Q&A, organise media interview, press event and media engagement activities

• Handle media enquiries and draft line-to-take. Be responsive and provide support during critical situations, ensuring timely and accurate communication to the media

• Perform news monitoring and research. Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices

• Provide effective support for handling crisis and controversial issues from a stakeholder management and media perspective

• Assist in organizing and implementing PR events and campaigns that enhance brand awareness of the Park

• Create high-quality content for various communication channels including articles, speeches, presentations, and other communications materials.

• Translate articles and prepare bilingual communications for senior executives, including speeches, presentations, byline articles, etc.

• Provide copywriting for corporate communications materials such as magazines, byline articles, and other promotional publicity

• Actively seek out-of-the-box opportunities to promote the corporation. Stay updated on best practices in corporate communications

• Perform other duties as assigned as Head of Public Relations and Communications

Requirements

• Degree holder in related disciplines, preferably in Journalism, Communication, Public Relations, language or Social Sciences

• Excellent in both spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua

• Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in communications and public affairs, preferably gained from sizable or public organizations; established local media network is a definite advantage

• With experience in collaboration with government departments, District Councils, and political parties

• Experience in digital content development and multimedia production is a plus

• A mature, self-motivated team player with excellent organizational skills and is able to perform under pressure and tight timeline

• Good team player with strong analytical, problem solving, communication, and inter-personal skills

• Willing to work outside office hours as and when necessary

• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Manager – Public Relations and Communications
