Database Administrator

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide database support for Oracle, MSSQL and Mysql Databases within Unix and Wintel environment

  • Undertake DBA role to manage all databases, including database patching, upgrade, performance tuning, monitoring, backup and recovery for critical systems

  • Provide technical assistance to the application team for project development

  • Install and configure various Oracle database products and HA solutions, including Oracle RAC, Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate

  • Perform development using PL/SQL, Unix scripts & JAVA

  • Perform system administration & monitoring on Unix, Linux & Windows servers

Requirements: 

  • Degree in Information Technology/ Computer Science/ Computer Engineering or other relevant discipline

  • At least 3 years of work experience in Oracle database administration and support

  • Experience in different kinds of database recovery methods

  • Experience in handling VLDB and performance tuning

  • Experience in system development with Unix scripts, JAVA, SQL and PL/SQL

  • Experience with other other non-relational databases, including MongoDB, Hadoop will be an advantage

  • Off-day on-call standby support is required
