Position Overview
This position is based in the Residential College Life Section. The appointee will oversee dormitory management and student activities, assist the supervisor in team operations, and support whole-person student development. Candidates should possess strong responsibility, independent problem-solving skills, and team leadership experience to foster a supportive and vibrant residential life environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily dormitory operations, including check-in/check-out, room allocation, student enquiries, and related administrative processes.
  • Independently manage student complaints, investigate incidents, conduct crisis intervention, and provide appropriate student support.
  • Manage dormitory income and expenditure, prepare financial statements, handle fee collection, billing follow-up, and other financial matters.
  • Compile and update dormitory rules, assist in reviewing accommodation policies and procedures, coordinate facility maintenance, and ensure a safe and efficient environment.
  • Assist the supervisor in preparing reports, conducting data analysis, and related submissions.
  • Lead and supervise junior staff in accommodation-related administrative duties, provide guidance, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Handle team administrative tasks, including document management, record-keeping, cross-departmental coordination, and system optimization.
  • Plan and coordinate dormitory and student activities, and foster collaboration with external organizations and student groups.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of residential life programmes to promote cross-cultural exchange, mental health awareness, and whole-person development.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned and participate in on-call or emergency response as required.

Requirements

  • A recognized university bachelor’s degree or above.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in student affairs, dormitory/accommodation management, administration, or social welfare organizations (team supervision experience is preferred).
  • Strong sense of responsibility, proactivity, attention to detail, and excellent independent analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese and English (including Putonghua).
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially Excel for data analysis and reporting; financial management experience is preferred.
  • Experience in crisis management, student counselling, or residential education programme planning is an advantage.
