REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate is expected to possess:

• a Doctoral degree or equivalent;
• proficiency in Chinese and English;
• a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching, research and service commensurate with that of a tenured associate professor, in disciplines of Science and/or Engineering;
• experience in serving in prestigious higher education institution(s) preferably at the rank of Faculty/ School Dean or above level; and
• abundant experience in providing effective leadership to Faculties or academic units with regard to the disciplines of Science and/or Engineering, including overseeing the development of academic strategy and its implementation; academic budget planning and allocation; personnel management; grants submission processes and management; and student enrollment

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Dean, Faculty of Science and Engineering shall:

• be responsible for the administration of the Faculty of Science and Engineering and shall exercise the responsibilities of Faculty Dean as required.
• provide visionary leadership and direction for the Faculty of Science and Engineering, including formulating annual development plans and budget for the Faculty in accordance with the College practices. 
• lead the curriculum development as well as initiation and development of new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in line with the College's Vision and Missions and Strategic Plan.
• encourage high standards of teaching, foster and encourage research within the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
• establish and maintain connections with other academic institutions, professional bodies and industry, both local and international.
• oversee staff management and accountability in the Faculty of Science and Engineering.
