IT Infrastructure System Administrator (Linux, over $50K)

Job Description:

  • We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure System Administrator to manage and support our clients' technical infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • System administration of technical infrastructure, including servers, storage, enterprise object storage, job scheduling, authentication systems, backup solutions, and monitoring tools.
  • Coordinating with contractors and IT support teams to ensure successful project implementation.
  • Planning and implementing software patching, as well as hardware and software upgrades for IT infrastructure services.
  • Facilitating the certification processes for ISO27001 and ISO27017 within the IT Sub-division.

Requirements:

  • Higher Diploma / Degree in Computing
  • At least 5 years working experience
  • Familiarity with the implementation and support of virtual machines running on virtualization software.
  • Solid experience in the administration and support of SAN storage and enterprise backup systems.
  • Proficiency in Unix/Linux shell scripting.
  • Extensive experience in Linux operating system administration.
  • Strong background in system monitoring administration and operations.
  • Proven experience in supporting system backup administration and operations.
  • Experience in the administration and support of enterprise object storage system solutions.
