The position is responsible for driving fundraising and engagement initiatives. This role focuses on expanding donor and sponsor networks, managing membership programs, and ensuring alignment with WKCDA's performing arts programs and capital projects.

You will be responsible for:

• developing and implementing strategies to expand the pool of major donors and sponsors supporting WKCDA's performing arts programs and capital projects; 

• leading the cultivation and solicitation of new sponsors and donors on behalf of WKCDA to support its programs and activities;

• leading the creation of sponsorship proposals, membership schemes, and related collateral, collaborating closely with the Performing Arts team and Marketing, Branding, and Partnership Department to ensure brand alignment;

• managing relationships with sponsors, donors, patrons, and members;

• developing membership programs, ensuring professional and regular communication with all members, and leading the implementation of new membership drives;

• leading the membership pilot program and grow it into one of Performing Art Unit’s major revenue streams;  

• managing relevant budget items related to membership and development as needed;

• overseeing data management for sponsorships, memberships, and major gifts, ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations;  

• initiating and overseeing events for sponsors, donors, and members, ensuring they are appropriately pitched, executed smoothly, on time, and within budget; 

• fostering close working relationships with other Development teams of WKCDA to maintain clear communication and alignment; and

• performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.

You should:

• possess a recognised university degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Cultural Studies or equivalent;

• have at least 8 years of relevant working experience in sponsorship, development or related work; experience in arts and culture organization is a plus;

• Have a proven track record of raising funds from corporations or high-net-worth groups;

• have experience and good interpersonal skills in interacting with large-scale business corporations;

• have outstanding presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills; and

• have excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
