Job Responsibilities:
People Management
- Lead and manage project team for Internet and Mobile Applications’ projects
- Delegate work amongst the Technical Team
- Coach, train and develop Technical personnel to keep knowledge of core technology in-house to support both internal and external customers
- Develop career and training plans and identify areas for employee improvement
- Enforce compliance of policies and procedures
Product Realisation
- Prioritise tasks and complete works in accordance with the planned schedule and quality
- Direct the team in outlining system architecture, and then govern respective contactless payment technological implementations
- Develop project management plans
- Ensure product realisation has sufficient resources for delivery, and the deliverables are on time, within budget and meeting the requirements
- Liaison with relevant parties on user requirements, UAT testing, implementation and deployment
Business Development
- Work in collaboration with senior grade levels or business development units to cross sell the Octopus Portfolio
Knowledge Management
- Develop, implement, maintain and improve product realisation methodologies
- Knowledge sharing within the organisation to retain knowledge for reuse to enhance quality, profitability and market share
Supplier/Vendor Management (when applicable)
- Effectively liaise with external contractors in regards to the design and production of customised Octopus products
- Supervise work progress of contractors for ensuring delivered quality of Octopus products developed by contractors
Decision Making Authorities
- Approve or reject project or task plans
- Approve or reject product releases or changes
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electronic/telecommunication engineering, information technology or computer science
- At least 12 - 15 years of experience preferably in banking, technology, Fintech, payment or contactless smart card
- Data driven mentality which can measure & monitor the progress & achievement of KPI & objectives
- Proven track record in project management, RFP, and tendering, vendor management and agreement vetting
- Strong knowledge in payment and digital solution development and rollout mobile payment, e-Commerce, CRM, web technologies and various technical development approaches
- Knowledge in one or more of the following areas: management of large data center, smart card technology, Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) system, project management with international players, smart card security, and product and web development methodologies
- Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese
