Job Responsibilities:

Test Authority

• Oversee all testing activities in the entire SDLC for technical implementations.
• Identify gaps and deficiencies in test execution for all projects.
• Take the responsibility of ensuring the quality and reliability of software systems before deployment.
• Participate in governance units for reviewing test quality of all system changes.
• Conduct data-driven analysis on pre- and post-implementation review, e.g. defect detections and analysis.
• Defines test standards, framework, procedures and metrics to improve test efficiency and coverage.
• Define and track test metrics, and prepare data-driven test quality management reports to executives. 

Quality Assurance

• Develop and implement comprehensive software test strategies to ensure stability and reliability.
• Coordinate product releases and provide ongoing technical support post-launch review.
• Drive and lead test automation initiatives and adopt RPA for brining high degree of automation in quality assurance processes.
• Oversee type approval execution, review certification standards and processes to improve certification efficiency, and develop certification specifications according to business and operational needs.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, product managers and quality team to ensure quality objectives are met.

Strategy Development

• Oversee the overall quality management for the department.
• Develop the quality strategy and policies for the department to adopt.
• Enforce best practices in development processes for ensuring high quality delivery.

Product Realisation

• Develop quality plans.
• Prioritise tasks and complete works in accordance with the quality plans.
• Develop test standards including Octopus Type Approval Standards and departmental Test Framework to improve department products.
• Liaise with internal or external clients to deliver quality deliverables including but not limited to new processes, quality documentation, quality audits, etc.

Requirements:

• Degree qualification in Computer Science, IT Management or related disciplines
• A minimum of 12 years of solid and practical experience in system analysis, technical testing and defect management.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools and life-cycle models.
• Analytic and problem-solving mindset for identifying root causes, improving test coverage, interpreting test metrics and driving continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of automation frameworks and scripting languages.
• Good leadership and communication skills with ability to mentor testers, assign tasks and resolve conflicts and issues.
• Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001, and relevant standards and quality testing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and testing deployments will be of advantage.
