• Identify, evaluate and research on market trend and turn into insights to develop potential new pastry items;

• Innovative with strong analytical and planning and problem-solving;

• Assist in the development and renovation of new and existing bakery products;

• Responsible for the projection of food costs to meet the business forecast;

• Bridge commercial team with the product development, with clear articulation of the product strategy and target audience. Integrate commercial team’s points of views and influence the product development to achieve the commercial agenda;

• Conduct or supervise the testing of new products in test kitchen, the development of specific processing methods in chocolate and pastry;

• Coordinate and monitor the performance and evaluation of the sales of bakery;

• Handle special projects and other duties as required.

Requirements

• Higher Diploma or above in Food Science or related background;

• At least 3 years relevant working experience, preferably gained from food or catering industry;

• Knowledge in Hong Kong food legislation and requirements;

• Demonstrated an innovative, creative, self-motivated and able to develop new ideas / approaches;

• Proficient in MS Office & Chinese Word Processing;

• Good command of spoken and written in English and Chinese.
