Our client is a premier Main Contractor specializing in high-end interior fit-out projects across Hong Kong. They are seeking a versatile and technically-minded Assistant Project Manager / Senior Project Coordinator to join their project team. This role is designed for a professional with a strong interior design foundation who is ready to take the lead in site execution and project management.

The Role

You will be responsible for the seamless transition from design to construction. This is a hands-on role requiring a blend of aesthetic sensibility and construction pragmatism, ensuring that high-standard designs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Coordination: Manage the production and review of shop drawings, CSD, and CBWD; ensure design intent is accurately translated to site execution.

• Site Leadership: Oversee on-site progress, coordinate with various subcontractors, and resolve technical design conflicts as they arise.

• Project Governance: Assist the Project Manager in scheduling, cost control, material procurement, and progress reporting to clients and consultants.

• Quality & Safety: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure workmanship meets the firm’s elite standards and safety regulations.

Candidate Profile

Core Requirements

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or Building Studies.

• Experience: 5–8 years in the interior fit-out industry, preferably with a Main Contractor or reputable Design-and-Build firm.

• Design DNA: Interior Design background is highly preferred—you must be able to read complex drawings and understand material finishes and detailing.

• Site Knowledge: Site supervision experience is a significant plus.

• Tech Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential; knowledge of Revit or BIM is an advantage.

• Communication: Strong command of Cantonese and English; ability to manage subcontractors effectively while maintaining professional client relations.
