Head of Operations – Leading Global Fintech Platform

Our client is a prominent Fintech platform specializing in online brokerage and digital investing. As a leader in the digital wealth space, they are dedicated to democratizing access to global financial markets through cutting-edge technology. They provide retail and institutional users with a multi-asset trading environment across stocks, ETFs, options, and cryptocurrencies.

The Role

We are seeking a high-caliber Head of Operations to lead end-to-end brokerage operations, drive process transformation, and ensure the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Management: Oversee daily brokerage functions, including account opening, fund management, and transaction monitoring.

  • Settlement & Risk: Ensure seamless trade settlement and reconciliation in compliance with SFC and AML/CFT requirements.

  • Automation: Drive digital transformation and process automation to enhance back-office efficiency and reduce manual intervention.

  • Stakeholder Management: Coordinate with regional shared service teams and represent the firm during SFC inspections and internal audits.

  • Leadership: Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary team across client support, middle office, and settlements.

Candidate Profile

Core Requirements

  • 8–12 years of experience in brokerage, digital wealth, or financial operations.

  • Strong Settlement Foundation: Proven track record with a solid background in Securities Settlement; candidates who "grew up" in settlement functions and understand the full trade lifecycle are highly preferred.

  • Deep familiarity with HK, US, and A-share market settlements, cash operations, and corporate actions.

  • Experience managing transformation projects (e.g., system upgrades, vendor migrations, or process redesign).

Licensing & Skills

  • Preferably holding (or eligible for) SFC Type 1, 2, 4, or 9 licenses.

  • In-depth knowledge of SFC rules, AML requirements, and internal control frameworks.

  • Bilingual Proficiency: Fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin

  • Tech-savvy with familiarity in back-office systems and reconciliation tools.

Preferred (Bonus)

  • Specific experience in Institutional Business operations.

  • Experience in cross-border coordination or managing group shared services.
